1. Information we collect
We collect campaign details you submit, including company name, destination URL, tagline, chosen color, territory, bid amount and payment identifiers. Dodo Payments collects billing and payment information. Battlemap receives transaction status, customer email, amount and identifiers but does not store full card details.
2. Usage information
We process a random browser visitor identifier, truncated or cryptographically hashed network identifiers, user agent, timestamps, territory selections and outbound campaign clicks. This supports live visitor counts, abuse prevention, billing reconciliation and campaign analytics.
3. Public information
Campaign names, destination links, favicons, colors, taglines, winning amounts and territory history are public by design. Public ledger entries may remain visible after a placement is captured. Do not submit personal or confidential information as campaign content.
4. How information is used
We use information to process bids, activate and display placements, track campaign clicks, prevent fraud, provide support, enforce policies, issue refunds, maintain transaction records and comply with legal obligations.
5. Service providers
Dodo Payments processes checkout as merchant of record. Hosting and database providers process application data. Google’s favicon service may receive the advertiser hostname when Battlemap retrieves a site icon. Providers process information under their own privacy terms and contractual obligations.
6. Retention
Public territory history and financial records may be retained for the life of the service and as required by tax, accounting or dispute laws. Detailed outbound-click records and rate-limit records should be routinely deleted or aggregated. Visitor heartbeat records should be deleted after 30 days unless needed for security investigations.
7. Security
We use encrypted transport, signed payment webhooks, restricted database access, hashed network identifiers and administrative access controls. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of eligible personal information. Public transaction records and records required for legal compliance may be exempt. Contact privacy@battlemap.com.
9. International processing
Battlemap and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal transfer mechanisms should be used by the operator.
10. Operator details
The legal entity name, postal address, data-protection contact and jurisdiction-specific disclosures must be completed by the Battlemap operator before commercial launch.
