Battlemap policy

Auction terms

Last updated August 21, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of Battlemap, including bids, territory placements, outbound links and related services. By placing a bid, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, can bind the advertiser you name and accept these terms.

2. What a territory provides

A completed bid purchases a revocable digital advertising placement. It does not grant ownership, sovereignty, trademark rights, exclusivity outside Battlemap or any interest in a geographic area. The placement may display your campaign name, website favicon, color, tagline and tracked link.

3. Bids and capture prices

Each territory has a displayed minimum. After a verified payment activates, the next minimum is generally 150% of the winning bid, rounded to the next platform increment. Battlemap may correct obvious pricing errors before activation. Antarctica is a one-time permanent placement after its first verified winning bid unless it is removed for a policy violation.

4. Checkout and activation

Dodo Payments acts as merchant of record and processes checkout, tax, invoices and payment information under its own terms. A checkout page does not reserve or activate a territory. Activation occurs only after Battlemap receives and validates a successful payment webhook. A checkout reservation expires after 30 minutes.

5. Refunds

If a territory becomes unavailable, its required price increases above your paid bid before activation, or the reservation expires before payment confirmation, Battlemap requests an automatic full refund through Dodo Payments. Processing time depends on the payment method and financial institution. Once a placement activates, it is non-refundable merely because another advertiser later captures it. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

6. Advertising rules

You may not promote malware, phishing, fraud, unlawful products, hate or harassment, sexual exploitation, weapons trafficking, regulated goods without authorization, deceptive financial schemes, impersonation or intellectual-property infringement. Links must lead to the submitted advertiser or campaign. Battlemap may remove or redirect unsafe placements without notice. Policy removals are not eligible for a discretionary refund.

7. Your content

You retain rights in your names, taglines and marks. You grant Battlemap a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display, resize, cache and distribute that content as needed to operate and market the service. You represent that you have the necessary rights and that your content is accurate.

8. Availability and changes

Battlemap may maintain, modify, suspend or discontinue features to protect users, comply with law or improve the service. We do not guarantee traffic, impressions, clicks, search ranking, revenue or uninterrupted availability.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Battlemap is provided “as is” without implied warranties. The operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss. Aggregate liability relating to a claim is limited to the amount you paid to Battlemap during the three months before the event giving rise to that claim.

10. Contact and disputes

Contact support@battlemap.com first so we can investigate. Governing law, legal entity details and venue must be completed by the Battlemap operator before commercial launch to match its registered business jurisdiction.
